Our unit meets the and Quality Assurance Management System standards in the field of biological material biobanking. Our biobank is a unique structure dedicated to collecting, storing, and analyzing biological material for the benefit of the research community’s common needs. The biobank structure includes the laboratories with specialized, modern equipment that enables the preparation of biological material samples and a fully automated system for storing samples. The biobank consists of:

  • portable liquid nitrogen dewars with a capacity of 750 and 2,000 samples,
  • automated liquid nitrogen transport system with connection to 19 dewars, each with a capacity of 20,000 samples (currently idle),
  • stationary liquid nitrogen tanks with a capacity of 50 L and 250 L,
  • automated gradient freezer,
  • low-temperature freezers (-80 °C),
  • standard freezers (-20 °C)
